Mobile phones went flashing when Pakistani actor Fawad Khan walked the ramp for Manish Malhotra on day 1 at the FDCI India Couture Week. In a black velvet kurta with maroon palazzos, the star was a picture of elegance in those moments.
However, all the sheen faded when he became this loud boisterous drunk man at the after-party. An eyewitness told DNA that Fawad was being aggressive at the party and getting a little too much to handle for his managers.
"A few drinks down the hatchet and he was a different person, loud, boisterous aggressive ...and embarrassing. Fawad began to get loud and his voice was heard from very far. His team members tried to keep his excitement down. But he was gone after a few pegs...much to the embarrassment of everyone who was witness to this uncharacteristic behaviour," the source further elaborated.
This is in stark contrast to the image he has created of himself. Two years ago, when he was making his Bollywood debut with "Khoobsurat" alongside Sonam Kapoor, he had said that he is a "quiet person" and talks only when he is cued to talk.
On the work front, Fawad has a guest appearance in Karan Johar's "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead.
Although there hasn't been an official announcement, rumour has it he may play Deepika Padukone's husband in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Padmavati." The reason, sources claim, he may make the cut is because he has the kind of dates the director requires from his actors.
