Malayalam actress Sarayu Mohan got engaged to associate director Sanal V Devan in a private ceremony in Thrippunithura April 4. The photos of the function started doing the rounds on social media Monday evening.
"Happy to announce that I got engaged to my best friend Sanal V Devan,and we apologise for the late note [sic]," the actress posted on her Facebook page. The couple is expected to exchange the vows Nov 12.
Sarayu aka Ammu began her acting career with a minor role in filmmaker Lohithadas' "Chakkara Muthu" in 2006. She played her first lead role in the 2009 movie "Kappal Muthalaali" opposite comedian and television host Ramesh Pisharody.
Later, she starred in more than 35 movies and became known for her performances in "Four Friends," "Janapriyan," "Husbands in Goa," "Nidra" and "Varsham," among others. The actress was last seen in Biju Menon-starrer "Salt Mango Tree" in 2015. She has also directed the short film "Pacha." Sanal has worked as an associate director in Dileep's "Life of Josutty," Jayasurya's "Jilebi" and the Mammootty-starrer, "Varsham."
