Since Tuesday, reports on Malayalam news portals had it that South Indian actor Bala has been injured after getting involved in a dispute at a parking lot in Kochi. The actor has now come forward clearing the air around the rumours stating that he was not involved in the issue that happened 20 days ago in Ernakulam, Kerala.
"While I was about to park my car, I saw a land owner and his son-in-law having arguments. It's true that I stood there for some time to know what was happening, but I left the spot soon," the actor told Manorama Online.
After the news went viral on social media, the actor has been receiving many calls. "I don't understand how certain media reports such baseless allegations. I called up the media house that published the fake news initially. They apologised and promised to remove it from the website," Bala added.
According to initial reports, the dispute took place between the actor and a traveller driver, named Rajiv, at Platinum Lotus Apartments near Dhanlaxmi Bank in Palarivattom, where the actor is staying. Bala reportedly got injured after he was attacked by the driver and was taken to a nearby private hospital. Later, the actor is said to have filed a police complaint, but settled it not to tarnish his image.
Meanwhile, Bala, who was last seen in RS Vimal-Prithviraj Sukumaran's blockbuster movie "Ennu Ninte Moideen" is currently working for his upcoming movie "Kaalam Paranja Kadha," which is being filmed in Palakkad. He is also awaiting the release of the big budget Mohanlal starrer "Pulimurugan," which is scheduled to hit the screens in April.
