Mumbai based electronics company, iBall, has launched a budget tablet called Slide i9018 in India for ₹9,990.
"With growing demand for Tablet PCs, need for bigger size screen size at affordable price is seen and we are happy to introduce iBall Slide i9018 with 9" HD screen and Dual core processor which is being offered for the first time in India." said, iBall director Sandeep Parasrampuria.
The new iBall Slide i9018 is a feature-rich tablet device. It sports a 9.0-inch multi-touch display with HD 1024x600p resolution and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Under the hood, it packs a 1GHz Cortex A7 dual-core processor with Mali 400 MP2 graphics engine and houses 1GB RAM, inbuilt memory of 8GB (system uses almost 2GB for OS and other applications ). It can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.
Just a couple of days ago, rival Intex Technologies had released a smaller 7.0-inch tablet i-Buddy Connect 3G with the same price-tag. It sports a WVGA (800x480p) display and runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB memory.
