63rd Filmfare Awards (South) 2016 Telugu Winners list: Mahesh Babu, Anushka Shetty win Best Actors

Director SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali: The Beginning" has topped the Telugu winners' list at the 63rd Filmfare Awards (South) 2016, beating its rival — Superstar Mahesh Babu's "Srimanthudu."

The organisers of the 63rd Filmfare Awards (South) 2016 had announced the nomination list for Telugu movies, along with other languages on June 7. "Baahubali" and "Srimanthudu" were leading the list with nine nominations each. They declared the winners at a grand function on Saturday night (June 18). "Baahubali" won five awards, while "Srimanthudu" bagged three awards.

"Rudhramadevi" and "Kanche" bagged two Filmfare Awards (South) each, while "Bhale Bhale Magadivoy," "Bruce Lee: The Fighter," "Malli Malli Idhi Rani Roju" and "Akhil" won one award each. The winners were honoured amidst amazing performances by Rakul Preet Singh, Catherine Tresa, Pranitha and others. Chinmayi and Rahul Ravindran were the anchors at the of 63rd Filmfare Awards (South).

Megastar Chiranjeevi, Rana Daggubati, Allu Arjun, Ram Charan Teja, Venkatesh, Anushka Shetty, Nayanthara, Pranitha, Amy Jackson, Rakul Preet Singh, Catherine Tresa, Jaya Pradha, Mohan Babu, Dasari Narayana Rao, Jayasudha and a host other celebs from the Telugu film industry attended the event.
