Tamil superstar Suriya's latest thriller, "24," has been doing tremendous business at the worldwide box office ever since it was released on Friday, May 6.
The Vikram Kumar-directed movie is said to have made an approximate business of Rs 55.6 crore (gross) from three days of its theatrical run around the world. It is said to have become the second most successful South Indian movie at the worldwide box office in the opening weekend, after SS Rajamouli's blockbuster movie, "Baahubali."

The Suriya-starrer has minted an approximate gross amount of Rs. 33.5 crore from box offices in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. The sci-fi thriller has become the first Suriya-starrer to have a great opening in Kerala. The film is said to have earned a gross amount of Rs. 4.05 crore from the South Indian state, where Suriya enjoys a huge fan following.
"24" has also become the fastest grosser to reach the $1 million mark in the United States, with a collection of almost Rs. 7.65 crore (gross) from the overseas market and Canada. The Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Nithya Menen movie has also reportedly performed well as the Australian box office with an approximate earning of Rs. 92 lakh.
